At the recent Pembrokeshire Sports Awards ceremony held at Folly Farm on Friday 25th November, Pembrokeshire Harriers were well represented in many categories with several ending up in the spotlight ( literally ).

Many congratulations to David Omoregie...winner of the U16 Boys achievement of the year award and also to Amy Leahy ...winner of the U16 Girl achievement of the year award. Both fully deserved by these two outstanding athletes.

However, there were several others from Harriers who were deservedly awarded Runners up awards in their respective categories.....Heather Lewis after her fantastic year on the race walking circuit ; Josh Davies for his many medals on the track and field ; James Tyler for his achievements around the UK in the Diability award ; Liz Rowland representing the Harriers in their work with Pembrokeshire schools ; and someone else...... It was a great advert for the Harriers after a very successful season as we were the most mentioned club at the awards. So, once again thanks to all the athletes, coaches and parents who made it possible.

Last thought....our Club Chairman, Pete freeman was highlighted at the ceremony by Bill Carne. He's very good at his coaching but not so good at reading the calender as he had turned up a week too soon to an empty hall the previous Friday !!
