One of the highlights of the Pembrokeshire Harriers Track and Field year takes place this Saturday (23rd). The Club hosts the annual Gerald Codd Trophy at our  track at STP in Haverfordwest. The Trophy is in honour of  Gerald Codd who was a great stalwart of athletics in Pembrokeshire for many years. It is our showpiece event and a chance for our athletes to show off their talents on their home track in front of family and friends. After travelling all over South Wales during the season, it's the turn of the Club to host our fellow Louise Arthur League teams at Haverfordwest. The other clubs heading west to Pembrokeshire to compete are...Swansea, Carmarthen, Bridgend, Neath and Llanelli.

The junior section of the Club has been doing very well again this season finishing second in the Welsh Junior League West and it would be fantastic to carry on that success on home turf. The format is different to the normal Welsh Junior Louise Arthur League. Normally, there are only two scoring athletes per event, but all teams are allowed to enter one more non scoring athlete. The team will be picked by Team Managers : Louisa Zygadlo ( girls ) and          Jo Salmon ( boys ). Please contact Louisa or Jo to let your availability be known.

If selected, please turn up at least an hour before your event to report in.

It is a big event and takes a lot of organising so, if any parents etc would like to help it would very much be appreciated.... please contact                        Liz Rowland/Louisa Zygadlo/Jo Salmon or turn up at the track at STP from 9.30am. There will be refreshments / snacks available from the Club Cabin. So, turn up and enjoy the spectacle as there is a great atmosphere on the bank watching some of the best young athletes in Wales competing on our home track !
