The big 2018 Dyfed Secondary Schools Track & Field Athletics Championships will be held at Carmarthen Athletics Track, Johnstown over the weekend of 15th and 16th June. You're guide to everything that athletes, teachers and spectators need to know...

The busy track and field season continues into June and after hosting the Dyfed Primary Schools Athletics Championships on Wednesday 6th June, the secondary school pupils across the District will head to Johnstown for the big Dyfed Secondary Schools Track & Field Athletics Championships on Friday 15th June & Saturday 16th June...

As in previous years by now, the Dyfed championships will be held over two days (Friday & Saturday) at the Carmarthen Athletics Track (Leisure Centre, Johnstown, SA31 3NQ).

Dyfed has a fine tradition in track and field athletics and we hope that these championships will maintain that tradition. We are at the forefront of the sport in Wales and for that, we can thank the talents of the pupils in our school, the commitment and skill of the teaching staff in the PE departments throughout the three counties and the support many receive from the coaches in the athletics clubs.

The championship will return in 2018, following the postponement of the 2017 edition due to heavy rain on the day of the competition despite the Friday events having taken place.
