With the youngsters hogging the limelight at the West Wales Indoor Championships on Saturday 23rd January 2016, three of the club's unassuming Masters athletes were adding to the club's winter medal tally.

Following an injury layoff, Tim Barrett (M50), in his first championship outing for the club, won the bronze in the 60m sprint at the West Wales Champs.

That same day, at the Welsh Masters Championships in Cardiff, John Gardener (M70) claimed the full set of medals with gold in the 400m, silver in the 1500m and bronze in the 60m sprint. His competition in the 60m included the World's fastest man over 70 years of age.

Club stalwart, Karen Llewellin (W50), was an unsurprising medalist with silver in the shot.

With Laurence Worth (M50), Luke Foley (M??) and Richard Thomas (M45) saving themselves for the summer track season, we can look forward to an interesting 2016 for the Masters [perhaps].
