A good turnout of 13 Harriers took part on the usual undulating 6 mile route around the dam which was as muddy and slippery as always. As if the course wasn`t challenging enough there was a poster at the start warning of “killer shrimp” which made a few runners think twice before setting off. Thankfully these creatures were only a few inches long and lived in the water –(although I`m sure Roland`s three legged dog had 4 legs before it ran round with him).

Overall winner was Rob Dyde with runner up Gareth Elliott. Age group firsts for Mark Whitby (M40) and Paul Edwards (M50).Babs Thomas also came away with a box of chocs for being the oldest female competitor –sorry Babs for mentioning your age. Hope you enjoy them as well as the trout (there was a guy selling trout in the car park – must have caught them before the killer shrimp did).
