The 29th Annual Pembrokeshire Primary Schools Cross Country will take place on Thursday 17th October 2019 at a brand new venue at Carew Airfield. The reserve date is Thursday 24th October in the event of bad weather.

issues as the event has increased in size over the past few years making Oakwood no longer viable as a venue. Parking will not be an issue but please access the airfield from the main entrance where a small donation of £1.00 per car is kindly requested as the venue is no longer free as it has been in previous years at Oakwood.

 

With the change in venue comes some changes to the event itself so please read the attached carefully and disseminate to all parents and guardians planning to attend on the day.

Arrangements for Races 2019:

 

  • Upon arrival can, all schools please report to the Registration Mobile Office – pay fee - £15 for each school with five or more competitors; schools with four or less will pay £2 per entrant.PLEASE MAKE CHEQUESPAYABLE TO MARY IMMACULATE SCHOOL
  • Certificates for the number of pupils taking part and result envelopes will be handed out when you register.
  • After each race has finished with your School’s name clearly written at the top of each envelope, collect the tickets of all pupils racing in the respective race. Write the names and positions of your top three runners on the front of the envelope and hand into the registration box with all tickets for the pupils finishing in the race.
  • Please ensure that everybody understands this including parents who often help take results for you if you are the only member of staff in attendance on the day. 
  • Medals and trophies will bepresented to the first ten immediately after they finish shortening the presentation ceremony and allowing younger pupils to go home.
